Healthy Homes: A Community Discussion on Air Quality in Detroit

  • Brightmoor Artisans Collective 22735 Fenkell Avenue Detroit, MI, 48223 United States (map)

Are you a woman between 18 and 45 years old living in the Brightmoor area who is passionate about the health of your home environment?

Join us for an enlightening evening hosted by the Community Engagement Core (CEC) of the Center for Leadership and Environmental Awareness and Research (CLEAR) at Wayne State University. We're diving into the world of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and how they could be impacting your health and home.

Learn about VOCs, common household chemicals that might be affecting your air quality, and discover practical steps to reduce them.

Interactive Activities:

- Create your own non-toxic cleaning spray to take home.

- Sign up to participate in a study to measure the VOC levels in your home.

- One lucky attendee will win an air quality monitor to ensure a safer environment for your loved ones.

- Meet and connect with fellow Detroit women who share your concern for wellness and environmental health.

- Enjoy a complimentary pizza as you engage in enriching discussions.

This event is a unique chance to empower yourself with knowledge, enhance your living space, and connect with like-minded women. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to make a difference in your life and community. We can't wait to welcome you!
